Everything meaningful in life takes courage — whether it's starting a new class, trying a new hobby, meeting new people, or exploring new places. For me, that courage led to opening Happy Days Arts community interest company.

There's a moment between imagining something that could benefit so many, and hearing that quiet voice of doubt telling you it isn't possible. Then comes the fragile but powerful thought: maybe it could work… maybe it could be okay. And finally, the encouragement — from family, friends, artists, and community — saying, you were born to do this.

So you take the leap. You fundraise the start-up costs. You gather a passionate group of skilled companions to become directors and board members. You register the name. And you begin.

Every part of it takes courage.

We are Happy Days Arts: a non-profit community arts organisation based in Conway Mill, Belfast. We are here to serve the community and to bring art into the lives of everyone who needs it — and everyone who wants it!
